    Hannah Edwards

    President

Hello, Broncos! My name is Hannah Edwards, and I am currently serving as the President of the Honors College Alumni Chapter Board. I graduated from Boise State in 2018 with degrees in Finance, Accountancy, and French. I then went on to earn my Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 2019. After briefly moving to France, I returned to Texas and am currently working as a financial analyst in the Global Operations and Quality group at AMD in Austin. The Honors College played a major part in why I went to Boise State, why I was successful during my time as a student, and why I have continued to accomplish personal and professional goals in my life after graduation.

As a board member for the last four years, I have facilitated the annual Mentorship Program, connected with current students as a mentor, and organized professional development panels for students to learn from alumni in their respective fields. Watching students make meaningful connections and prepare for their careers with the help of alumni has been amazing to see; and I look forward to it again this year! Go Broncos!

  • Emily Pape

    Vice President

Originally from Boise, I earned my BA in global studies, with minors in Spanish and economics, from Boise State in 2020. Following graduation, I earned my master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago in 2022. While at Boise State, I was a Peer Mentor with the Honors College for two years and studied abroad with the Honors College in Oxford. I joined the Honors College Alumni Chapter board in 2022 as secretary and now serve as vice president. I currently work for the Electrification Coalition, a national nonprofit working to end fossil fuel dependency through transportation electrification. Prior to working with the EC, I worked on community engagement and Arctic advocacy in Alaska, policy research in Idaho and Montana, and in the Idaho Governor’s office. I currently live in Palo Alto, California, where I try to spend as much time as possible running, biking, and being outdoors.

  • Claire Oberg

    Secretary

My name is Claire Oberg and I am currently serving as the secretary of the Honors College Alumni Chapter Board. I graduated from Boise State in May 2021 with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Since graduating I have taught in Idaho, Alaska, and New Jersey. I am originally from Twin Falls, ID and am just recently moved back to teach Kindergarten-2nd grade Special Education within the Twin Falls School District.

The Honors College was a huge factor in my decision to attend BSU for my undergraduate degree and was a highlight of my four years at Boise State. I was heavily involved with the Honors College including holding leadership roles in the Honors Student Association, working on recruitment for the Honors College, and as a Peer Mentor within the Honors 198 course.

I am thrilled to be involved as an alum and aim to continue building community between Honors alumni, current students, and prospective students as we support the BSU Honors College. Go Broncos!

  • Austin Henderson

    Member-at-Large

Hello everyone! I’m Austin Henderson, and I’m currently a member-at-large of the Honors College Alumni Chapter Board. I graduated from Boise State in 2018 with a Bachelors in Communication. After graduating, I began working at Boise State as an Admissions Counselor and then in New Student Orientation. While working at Boise State, I received my Master’s in Human Resource Development from Idaho State University. Currently, I work at Idaho Public Television, overseeing state-wide youth substance use awareness campaigns.

While I loved my time as an honors student, I’ve become even more invested in the Boise State Honors College as an alum! I’ve helped recruit for the Honors College while I was an Admissions Counselor and I’m entering my fourth semester teaching Honors 390. I love connecting with the current students in the program and find so much joy in figuring out ways I can support them on their journey post-college. I’m excited to serve as a board member and find other ways we all can cheer on the current honor students!
