Have a Hoot with the History Department

pine-cone-owl

For the second year, the Department of History is hosting a holiday crafts table for anyone – students, faculty, staff and other lovers of history and hand-hewn crafts – who wants to create an ornamental owl.

Simply stop by the history department main office, housed in the ground level of the Albertson’s Library (Room L192), now through the end of the semester and spend a relaxing 10 minutes or two hours crafting your own personal owl out of pine cones and acorn tops harvested farm-to-table style from campus (along with googly eyes and popsicle sticks harvested from a nearby crafts store). Once completed, make sure to attach a name tag and hang it from the history department’s Boise State-themed tree. Once the semester is over, come back and claim your owl.

It’s the perfect way to de-stress and gear up for finals.
