Walker Holds Firearms Workshop

Professor David Walker brought together volunteers from across the treasure valley to organize and hold a workshop on the history of firearms and tactics. Community members from the Idaho Military Historical Society, the Idaho Military Museum, the Gem County Rod and Gun Club, and other firearms collectors from the region, offered instruction in the use of historical firearms from Revolutionary War muzzle loaders to World War II machine guns. The class was mostly composed of and is geared towards the professional military education of BSU’s ROTC cadets. Other students included history majors who interned at the Idaho Military Museum. This hands on approach to history could not have been possible without the enthusiastic support of members of the Idaho community.
