I am interested in the social dynamics that influence the management of socio-ecological systems over space and time. I am particularly interested in the processes of collaboration and conflict, and how these processes are impacted by ecological disturbance.

About Originally from Syracuse, NY, I graduated with my B.A. in Biology from Amherst College. I then completed my M.S. in Environmental Science at the University of Illinois Springfield studying ground squirrel movement ecology. After returning home, I worked in environmental consulting assisting with the environmental review and impact analysis of large-scale renewable energy projects. In this position, I found myself exposed to diverse and often polarized views regarding environmental issues and became interested in incorporating human perspectives and decision-making into environmental research, which led me to the Human-Environment Systems group at Boise State. In my free time, I enjoy running and weightlifting, reading, seeing live music shows, and checking out local breweries. I’m also very passionate about animal rescue and enjoy dog-walking and volunteering for local rescues.
