Profile

I focus on the application of social science theory to natural resource issues. I seek to understand public perceptions of landscape and community change, how and why they differ, and their role in natural resource management and land use planning. I employ mixed methods and a range of theories to understand these variations. Currently, my research seeks to improve our understanding of people-place relationships in Idaho landscapes and communities undergoing social-ecological changes, through the lenses of landscape values and sense of place.
