The Hemingway Center offers programming in creative writing, experiential learning, and research in Boise and beyond. In addition, community members are welcome to attend free lectures, readings, and performances.

Sawtooth Writing Retreat
Elevate your writing in the stunning mountain landscape near Ketchum, Idaho, where Ernest Hemingway lived and wrote. The Hemingway Center offers an annual writing workshop. Participants work with talented authors one-on-one and in groups.

Education and Research
The Hemingway Center provides students with a variety of experiential learning opportunities and invites the community to attend free public readings and lectures in the Great Hall.

Visiting Artists and Scholars
The Hemingway Center hosts readings and lectures from visiting authors, performers, musicians, artists, and scholars. These events are free and open to the public.
