Pipe Organ History
The Hemingway Center Organ
The pipe organ was added in 1953, thanks to a generous gift from the Laura Moore Cunningham family. With the addition of the pipe organ, the building became known as the Music and Drama Building.
The organ is an Austin Universal Air organ (Opus 2191) with 2,631 pipes, 44 ranks, five divisions, three manuals, 35 stops and 50 registers.
