Ali is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree at Boise State University and her graduate degree at Maryville University in St Louis. Ali’s experience lies in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings with extensive trainings in gastroenterology. She is passionate about empowering patients through education while managing acute or chronic health conditions. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with family and friends, hiking, camping and cycling.

Amy is a graduate of Boise State University, majoring in social work for her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She has been practicing in the mental health field in Boise for over 20 years. Amy’s approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (including CBT for insomnia) , generalist Social Work practice, solution-focused and motivational interviewing. These approaches assist those struggling with anxiety, depression and life transitions. Seeing people meet their life goals and grow is the favorite part of her job. Amy is a certified Body Positive treatment provider; a specialty that focuses on improving body image and treating disordered eating. Amy strives to create a welcoming and accepting therapeutic environment for everyone. When not working, Amy is blessed with dear friends and family to spend time with. She also enjoys listening to vinyl records, watching documentaries and cooking. She recently achieved perfection in Stardew Valley.

Ayako is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC). After moving to the United States from Japan for college, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Boise State University and Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University. Before joining the Boise State counseling services, she has worked in community counseling agencies and had her own private practice. Ayako’s clinical interests include depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, cultural issues, self-worth, and LGBTQ+ issues. Her counseling approach is person-centered which emphasizes the importance in the relationship between the counselor and client in order to facilitate healing, growth, and change. Ayako is an EMDR trained, LGBTQ+ affirming counselor. In her free time Ayako likes to eat, hike, do yoga, explore new places and things, watch too much TV, and spend time with friends and family.

Brette is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She has experience working in university and community-based mental health settings. Her professional interests include working with individuals making life transitions and career decisions, depression, anxiety, grief, serious mental illness, LGBTQ+ issues, and cultural concerns. Her approach to counseling emphasizes the therapeutic alliance between client and counselor with a focus on awareness, acceptance and growth. Brette is an LGBTQ+ affirming counselor. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, travel, hiking with her dog Milo, and running. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Boise State University.

Brian earned a masters in mental health counseling from Idaho State University in 2014 and has been a college counselor for the past seven years; he started counseling at Boise State Health Services in 2020. Brian seeks to empower clients by helping them uncover their own insight, wisdom and strengths that so often become obscured in times of stress. Brian views mental anguish and discontent as primarily the product of a disruption in a client’s relationship and connectedness with self, and he believes the most profound and lasting way for a counselor to facilitate healing is to listen in a way that encourages emotional self-awareness. Brian’s warm, authentic and nondirective counseling approach is largely informed by person-centered and Gestalt theory modalities, and it incorporates elements of other humanistic theories. As a counselor, Brian is especially interested in grief and loss, trauma, sexuality, identity, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, anger, assertiveness, cultural integration, and boundary and relationship issues. He is an LGBTQ+ affirming counselor. For fun, Brian enjoys being active outdoors, playing the guitar, writing, and connecting with friends and family.

Capri graduated from Boise State University Licensed Practical Nursing Program in 1992 and has worked in hospitals, home health, skilled nursing and family medicine. Capri has served many years in direct patient care but also held leadership positions such as Charge Nurse, Clinic Lead, and Supervisor. She is dedicated to positive patient outcomes and the development of others.

Carmen supervises the CSR team at the front desk. She joined the Health Services team in April 2023. She is an experienced healthcare leader that has worked in the field for 28 years. She enjoys working with people and one of her favorite parts of her job is helping patients. Outside of work, Carmen enjoys reading, traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.

Christie earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Medaille University, in Buffalo, New York in 2021. As part of her graduate work, she completed training in various academic and community mental health settings. Christie’s clinical interests are specific to the traditional and non-traditional college-aged population, focusing on anxiety, ADHD, depression and personality disorders. Her approach draws from person-centered care, cognitive behavioral therapy and biopsychosocial models. In her free time, Christie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching the Buffalo bills, and participating in a number of sporting activities.

Christy is currently working on completing her Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Management with an emphasis on Cybersecurity and a minor in Psychology and Criminal Justice at Boise State University. She has eight years of experience working in customer service with a variety of different businesses.  Throughout these jobs, her focus was on the customer and providing them with an excellent experience. Christy joined University Health Services in the fall of 2015, and her job includes medical record management as well as being an assistant to the Director of Business Operations. Her favorite aspect of the job is interacting with all the patients that visit University Health Services. Christy loves paddle boarding, reading, and spending her free time with her family, friends, and dog.   

Dana Mckee is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who treats mental health concerns across the lifespan with special interests in anxiety and supporting people through life transitions. She is also interested in how nutrition and lifestyle choices might be leveraged to improve one’s well-being. She received a BA in Spanish Language and Literature from Boise State, went on to complete her undergraduate nursing studies at Idaho State University, and then graduated from Maryville University with a Master of Science in Nursing. Dana has over 10 years of healthcare experience, having worked in a variety of settings spanning both public and private sectors, research, and now provides healthcare services to students, staff and faculty at Boise State University. Over the course of her career she has cared for thousands of individuals and families during times of both joy and challenge and understands that each person brings their unique history, personality, and desires. With that, Dana approaches each patient interaction with openness and curiosity, striving to collaborate to identify achievable goals and sustainable solutions. During her time spent away from professional responsibilities, Dana tinkers on the piano, cruises around on her bicycle, reads lots of nonfiction, practices French, and she also enjoys staying physically active with her family and their dog.

Elizabeth is a Certified Health Education Specialist who is proud to call Boise State her alma mater. She started working for BroncoFit as a Peer Health Educator and has enjoyed serving the campus population in a full time capacity. As a Health Educator for BroncoFit she focuses on alcohol and other drug programming as well as healthy relationships, amongst other topics. She has a passion for college students and believes that providing a health and wellbeing touchpoint for students is key to their success in college. As a native Oregonian, she enjoys spending time outdoors and going on road trips to experience all the beauty that Idaho has to offer.

Eric received his Associate’s degree from Salt Lake City Community College and is currently working on a certificate degree in medical records. Eric joined Health Services in the fall of 2023. He has worked in a customer service capacity for 20+ years. His position includes making appointments, answering phones, verifying insurance, and assisting with patient’s needs. Eric’s favorite part of his job is supporting and helping patients with their needs. In his spare time Eric enjoys being outdoors with his family and exploring new places.

Ericka is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned a master’s degree in social work from Boise State University. As part of her graduate work, she completed an internship with Interfaith Sanctuary Housing Services and an internship with the Boise School District. Ericka has experience as a medical social worker, working for St Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Boise. Ericka values the opportunity to provide counseling/mental health services to students, faculty and staff with Boise State University. She believes the most integral component in the therapeutic process is the moment a client feels seen and heard. Ericka works toward empowering clients to be their most authentic selves while exploring their intrapersonal and interpersonal worlds. Ericka typically utilizes a person-centered approach, a cognitive behavioral framework, narrative theory, and Existentialism (among others). Her professional interests include: grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, self-worth, relationships and assertiveness. Ericka is LGBTQIA+ affirming. In her spare time, you’ll find her engaging in anything that makes her laugh, enjoying the various events and outdoors Boise has to offer, solidifying her cooking skills, and spending time with her friends and family.

Hunter was born in San Diego and moved to Boise when she was five years old. For 10 years, she was a competitive figure skater. She joined the Health Services team in summer 2018 as a Customer Service Representative and as of April 2021 is now the Administrative Assistant. Hunter graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor’s of Public Health in May 2021 and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health with a Health Management and Leadership Emphasis. Outside of work she enjoys reading, listening to true crime podcasts and spending time with friends and family.

Jerene has an AA Degree in Accounting and a CPC certification (Certified Professional Code/Auditor). She is currently working on completing her BA degree at Boise State University. Jerene has over thirty years’ experience in the medical field. For 21 years she was the Practice Administrator for the Spokane Psychiatric Clinic, and for five years she acted as the Accounting Specialist for a State Health Facility that provided mental health services in four NE Washington counties. In her current role As the Revenue Cycle Coordinator, Jerene’s main focus is on overseeing patient and student accounts and assisting students with any questions they have regarding their health services, charges or insurance questions. For enjoyment, Jerene loves competing at Barrel Racing and attending College Rodeos where her daughter rides for the Boise State team.

Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boise State University, and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Boise State University. She has been a counselor at BSU since 2017. Prior to that she worked in the mental health field as a community-based provider. Her professional interests include working with individuals experiencing life transitions, anxiety, trauma, depression, grief and cultural concerns. She is a LGBTQIA+ affirming provider. Jessica views the relationship between counselor and client as the most important factor in facilitating change and wellness. She strives to provide a safe, open, and supportive environment for every individual she counsels, and draws from an eclectic base of modalities to provide effective therapy for her clients. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and taking advantage of the vast wilderness access and outdoor recreation that Idaho has to offer.

Jo is a Licensed Massage Therapist. They received their B.S. from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, studying physical and social systems in 2009. In 2014 they received a diploma as a Massage Therapist and Health Educator from National Holistic Institute, as well as a certification in Advanced Prenatal/Perinatal/Postpartum Massage Therapy from Carole Osbornes Body Therapy Education, San Diego. Their approach to massage therapy is applying simple to advanced techniques over time to ethically and safely assist a patient in gradual soft-tissue changes to relieve pain, stress, and mechanical dysfunction within the scope of massage therapy’s medical applications. In their free time, Jo likes to read, play video games, go sport shooting, watch movies, go on hikes and socialize. Jo is also a graduate student at Boise State pursuing a MS in Cyber Operations and Resilience, and works for the US Army Reserve.

Joanna received her business degree from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. The program specialized in Business Administration and Hospitality Management. As the business manager, Joanna manages all business operations of Health Services from Budget Management, Accounts Payable and Receivable to the daily deposit. Joanna loves her job because numbers are her thing and she also enjoys the people that she works with. Joanna also loves cats and is just one cat short of being a crazy cat lady.

Johanna finished her BA in Liberal Arts at Northwest Nazarene University in 2019 and is currently working towards a second BA in English Literature here at Boise State. She previously worked in both the Boise School District as well as the West Ada School District. Johanna grew up in the military and spent time in several different countries with her favorite being England. She joined the Health Services team in 2022 as a Customer Service Representative. Her favorite part of the job is building relationships with the patients and her co workers. She enjoys reading and writing and is currently working on her first novel.

Dr. Urbanek obtained his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Wisconsin. He then trained in the University of Washington Psychiatry Residency Training Program, completing his last two years of residency in Boise. He has particular interest in human behavior and environment and how social factors affect mental health and wellbeing. He enjoys using his clinical knowledge to help people select treatment plans that most fit with their personal goals. He enjoys literature, keeping up with friends and family, and the great outdoors.

Jose Valle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Social Work degrees from Brigham Young University. Jose has practiced in multiple clinical settings including a community clinic, managed care organizations, a state agency, a nonprofit organization, and 11 years in his own private practice. One of his most rewarding experiences is having worked as a contractor for the federal government in an emergency shelter in Texas. There, he provided crisis and trauma care to unaccompanied youth from Central America who crossed the US-Mexico border. His professional interests include working with individuals who are having difficulty with trauma, ADHD, depression, anxiety, family disruptions, and other phase of life problems. His approach to counseling incorporates openness, non judgment, and acceptance, paired with therapeutic approaches that foster healing and personal growth. When Jose is not working or catching up with overdue home projects, he enjoys spending time with his family, bicycling, taking photos of nature and fly fishing.

Julee received her LPN degree and IV Certification in North Dakota and has 35 years of nursing experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine and Dermatology. She recently moved to Idaho and was lucky enough to obtain a nursing position with Boise State University in Spring of 2016. Julee feels every day is rewarding when you work in health care.  Her favorite aspect of the job is the rewarding feeling she gets when patients come to University Health Services to receive care. She feels it’s a lot of fun to be involved in the lives of the students, faculty and staff at Boise State.  Outside of work Julee enjoys yoga, any outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.

Julie received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science at Southern Oregon University in 2014, followed by her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing through Denver College of Nursing in 2017. Julie has experience in hematology, oncology, medical/surgical, and post anesthesia care. Julie was born and raised in Boise, and looks forward to giving back to the Bronco community. Julie enjoys building relationships with patients while advocating for health and wellness. Outside work, Julie likes to do anything outdoors, play soccer, be with family and friends, enjoy good food and hang out with her husband and dog.

Justin is a Certified Health Education Specialist who is a native from the greater Chicagoland area. He received his B.S. in Health Promotion and M.Ed. in Curriculum Design and Instruction from Weber State University. As a Health Educator with the BroncoFit team, Justin focuses on programming related to mental health education, coping skills, and emotional intelligence/awareness/regulation. He is passionate about building a thriving, inclusive, and successful community for students during their time in college. In his free time, Justin enjoys snowboarding in the winter months, watching college sports, and creating new tasty recipes or trying local restaurants. He also appreciates spending time with his friends, family and dogs, Wrigley and Willow.

Katelynn was born and raised in Boise Idaho.  She joined Health Services in the Fall of 2015 and has worked in the Medical/Health field for the last 10 years. Her position includes scheduling patient appointments, remedying patient phone calls and her main focus is providing excellent customer service. Her favorite aspect of the job is interacting with all patients and assisting to their needs at Health Services. Prior to her position at Boise State, she worked for a local Home Care Agency in the HR department.  In her spare time, Katelynn enjoys spending time with her Fiancé’ and their puppy as well as extended family and traveling as much as she can.

Katie earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree through Boise State University’s Applied Technology program and graduated with honors in 2007. Katie worked as a nurse in several settings and has worked with a variety of patient populations including adults, children, babies and hospice patients. She joined the University Health Services team in November of 2011, focusing on the patient and their well being. Her favorite aspect of the job is getting to build lasting relationships with each of the students. In her free time, Katie enjoys interacting with her community and spending quality time with family.

Katie (she/her/hers) graduated from Boise State University and is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW). Katie spent most of her life in cities like Detroit and Chicago and came to Boise to pursue her passion for watching others grow and flourish. Katie helps her clients navigate the human experience and its full range of emotions by showing them how to listen to signals in their body, and tuning in to the parts of themselves that feel depressed, anxious, and unsure. Katie gently guides clients to listen to themselves to find what they are looking for and heal the parts of them that are hurting. Clients can expect to learn more about how their nervous system is activated or shut down, how this affects their daily lives, and how to listen to themselves to find the support they are searching for. Katie supports all identities and is a LGBTQIA+ affirming counselor. In her spare time, Katie enjoys reading thriller books, trying new hobbies, and playing volleyball.

Dr. Kelli Tillquist is a licensed clinical psychologist and earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University in San Diego, California. She has previous experience working in community mental health settings assisting clients with various cultural backgrounds as well as experience in a acute care settings working with clients with severe and persistent mental health symptoms. Dr. Tillquist works collaboratively with clients to utilize their strengths to assist them in getting through rough patches of life. Her client centered and solutions focused on approach creates a safe space that fosters personal growth and allows clients to feel understood and empowered. She is an LGBTQ+ affirming counselor and her professional interests include working with individuals as they navigate life transitions, serious mental illness, suicide ideation, trauma, identity development, and cultural concerns. As a native Idahoan, Dr. Tillquist loves the outdoors, spending time with her family and friends, trying new places to eat, and taking her dog on adventures.

Kenzie is a Certified Health Education Specialist from Boise, Idaho. She received her Masters of Public Health degree with an emphasis in Prevention and Intervention Programming from Boise State University in 2023. As a Health Educator for BroncoFit she focuses on healthy relationships and sexual health programming on campus. In this role, Kenzie aims to empower students with the tools and education necessary to navigate healthy interactions in their relationships. She wholeheartedly believes in the protective power of community and engaging young people in identifying their own resilience and strength. Outside of work, Kenzie enjoys mountain biking the endless trails her hometown has to offer and being active with her energetic border collie, Luna.

Madi is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who completed her degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She works to empower individuals to own their stories and find healing through the process. Madi cultivates a safe environment for exploration and growth by maintaining curiosity and drawing on a variety of therapeutic techniques. She holds experience working in non-profit, private practice, and university settings, and is passionate about addressing systemic and environmental issues that impact mental health. Madi is mindful of these throughout her practice and has worked with individuals from a variety of marginalized communities including veterans experiencing housing insecurity, students in recovery for substance use and eating disorders, people who identify as LGBTQ+, and individuals on the autism spectrum. Madi practices acceptance of all identities and is an LGBTQ+ affirming counselor. When she is not consumed with reading too many books at once, Madi is usually baking, soaking up the outdoors, attending her favorite workout class, or connecting with loved ones. 

Mark earned his Associate of Occupational Studies in Medical Specialties degree in 2010 at Stevens-Henager College in Boise, Idaho. Mark joined the Health Services staff as a Customer Service Representative in 2013 and just recently transferred into the position at Health Services as a Medical Billing Representative. He has had over 20+ years of customer service experience throughout his career. Prior to joining Health Services, Mark worked as a Medical Assistant and Patient Service Representative with Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. Mark strives to help others and makes sure that he provides the best customer service to the students, faculty and staff of Boise State University. In his free time, Mark spends time with his wife and three children and their little dog Zoe and enjoys attending concerts.

Dr. Niece is a licensed clinical professional counselor. He earned his doctorate degree from Idaho State University in Counselor Education and Counseling. Prior to re-joining the team here at Health Services, Dr. Niece served the greater Treasure Valley through work at various counseling agencies. Dr. Niece also maintains a private practice in Boise and has been adjunct for Boise State University, College of Idaho, College of Western Idaho, and currently with Idaho State University at the undergraduate and masters level. He is an LGBTQIA+ affirming counselor and his clinical interests include working with folks who struggle with anxiety and depressive issues especially in regards to relationships and major life transitions, counseling student-athletes, and group therapy, generally through the lens of grief and loss. Outside of work you will find him taking advantage of the endless outdoor activities in Idaho, remodeling houses, or traveling with friends and family.

McKenzie obtained her B.S. in Kinesiology at Boise State University and her M.S. in Health Education at The University of Utah. McKenzie is a Certified Health Education Specialist, Exercise Physiologist, and National Board Health and Wellness Coach. As the Director of BroncoFit/ Wellness, McKenzie develops and oversees integrated and comprehensive wellness programming for Boise State’s community. McKenzie’s favorite aspect of her job is creating well-being programs that are holistic and impactful to students, faculty, and staff. In her spare time McKenzie enjoys hiking, listening to podcasts, paddle-boarding and eating yummy food.

Nathan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He grew up in Indiana and studied Spanish and Psychology at Indiana University before getting his Masters in Social Work at Boise State. Nathan’s approach to therapy is person-centered and strength based. His primary clinical interest and specialty is in couples counseling, and he utilizes blended elements of Gottman, and Emotions Focused Therapy (EFT). Nathan’s other clinical specialties include anxiety and depression management and treatment, narrative approach to trauma and grief, developing and maintaining healthy relationships, transition and exploration of various components of identity, and the development of self trust and autonomy. Nathan is LGBTQIA+ affirming and emphasizes acceptance, trust and authenticity in his work. When away from the office, Nathan is a huge outdoor enthusiast, and you can probably find him up on the Payette or Salmon river systems on the weekends.

Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Boise State University. Her experience includes working with a wide range of mental health backgrounds that vary from persistent to transitional diagnoses. Her therapeutic approach mainly is driven from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person Centered and Choice Theory. Nicole’s favorite part of counseling is building a genuine therapeutic relationship that allows the client to feel empowered and accept difficulties they may be going through. When not at work, you can find her off-roading on new trails, playing with her dogs, going to concerts, traveling, connecting with friends and family or binge watching a new TV show.

Penny Rea received her Master’s degree in Nursing from Boise State University in 2016. She became a board certified Adult/ Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in 2017 through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Penny has over 12 years of previous experience in mental health nursing working as a RN at a local hospital. Her practice philosophy is to build partnerships with her patients through advocacy, leadership and holistic medicine. She believes in providing healthcare that will help patients reach their desired health goals and enable healing. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors by horseback riding, boating with her family and skiing the local resorts.

Phoebe is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her undergraduate nursing studies at Johns Hopkins University and her graduate degree at University of California, San Francisco. She is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer with several years of nursing experience in public health, high risk obstetrics and reproductive healthcare, with further experience as a mental health provider. Phoebe is a strong believer in the power of patient agency and education. She strives to create a safe space for every person who comes to see her using evidence-based inclusive medicine. She looks forward to creating meaningful connections with her patients. On her off days, Phoebe enjoys exploring the Idaho Wilderness with her rescue pets or planning her next travel adventure.

Dr. Wolfe graduated with high honors with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Montana in 1998. She then went on to complete her medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. She joined the Montana Family Medicine Residency program in Billings, MT, where she completed her residency training and served as Chief Resident. Dr. Wolfe then joined the United States Air Force, where she served as an active duty physician at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, MT. After leaving active duty, she then joined a multispecialty clinic in Missoula, MT, where she practiced for five years.  Dr. Wolfe joined University Health Services in September of 2013 where her interests include general and procedural medicine, including skin biopsies and lesion removal, toenail removals, and IUD (intrauterine device) placement. In her free time, Dr. Wolfe enjoys spending time with her family and traveling, as well as participating in and watching a variety of different sports.

Sarah graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a BS in Neuroscience and a BA in French. She worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at St. Luke’s Hospital for almost seven years, and temporarily as a research assistant at Idaho State University before trading in lab work for a role that was more patient facing. Sarah joined Health Services in 2023 and enjoys working as a Customer Service Representative. Her favorite part of the job is getting to interact with and help patients. In her free time, she can be found working on something crafty, playing video games, or being active outdoors.

Skyler is earning his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He earned a BA in English and an MA in Rhetoric and composition. Skyler’s approach to counseling draws primarily from Person-Centered Counseling and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. His goal as a counselor is to provide a shame-free space for clients to explore their experience, feelings, and thoughts, and he views counseling as a collaborative process where the client is positioned as an expert in their own life and the counselor’s role is to help the client clear a path toward their mental health goals. Skyler is an LGBTQIA+ affirming counselor. Skyler’s clinical interests are LGBTQIA+ issues, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, anxiety, trauma, and self-worth. His favorite part of counseling is seeing clients find insight into their own life and identity in a way that empowers them to move forward with more confidence in themselves. In his free time, Skyler enjoys nights in with good friends, board games, and a movie. He enjoys the social vibe of coffeeshops and sampling different types of coffee. He also enjoys singing and participates in the musical theater scene in Idaho, having performed in and helped directed shows.

Tami is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and earned her Masters in Counseling from Boise State University. She has experience working in a variety of mental health settings prior to coming to BSU Health Services. Her clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, self-worth, healthy boundaries and healthy relationships. Tami’s approach to counseling is person-centered along with cognitive behavioral therapy. Tami is an LGBTQ+ affirming counselor. Her favorite part of the job is empowering clients to become more self-confident and feel better about who they are. In her free time Tami enjoys being outdoors and traveling.

Tracy earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree through Idaho State University’s College of Technology in 2005. Tracy is originally from Southern California and upon graduating moved back to Huntington Beach with her husband. In 2008, Tracy and her husband returned to Idaho to settle in Boise. Tracy worked in areas such as clinical research, corrections, and orthopedics before joining Boise State University in August 2018. Outside of work, Tracy enjoys being a mother to her twin boys, camping, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
