Looking for Summer Work? Consider the Summer Youth Sports Program

The Boise State Summer Youth Sports Program is back this summer, as well as all the opportunities that come with it. Boise State students from any discipline will be able to work as instructors with children ages 5-14 as a part-time job and receive experience, including credit for KINES 293 and KINES 493.

This program helps children build skills in coordination, recreational sports, team building, and general athleticism. Over the four two-week sessions various field sports, gymnasium activities, rock climbing, outdoor adventure activities, racket sports, recreational games and rhythmic activities will be played – a separate mountain biking opportunity is available as well. Instructors will help guide the activities and support a safe learning environment.

The first session is from June 5 – June 16, followed by June 19 – June 30, then July 10 – July 21, and lastly July 24 – August 4. There are morning and afternoon sessions, at 8:30 a.m until 12 p.m, and 1 p.m to 4:30 p.m. Applications are open, and will be accepted until May 12.

Anyone interested can fill out the online application, and contact Kevin Blume at kevinblume@boisestate.edu for any questions.
