Joie Burns, associate professor and program director for diagnostic medical sonography, presented a webinar on sonography of the normal liver for the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (SDMS) on Nov. 18. Burns also presented a webinar on the sonography of liver pathology for SDMS on Dec. 5. These webinars are supplements to the “National Certification Review on Abdominal Sonography” that Burns authored for the society in 2010.
The SDMS is a professional membership organization founded in 1970 to promote, advance and educate its members and the medical community in the science of diagnostic medical sonography. The society enjoys an international membership of over 23,000.
