Cynthia Curl, assistant professor for the School of Allied Health Sciences Department of Community and Environmental Health, was featured in University of Washington’s Institute of Translational Health Sciences August “Research Connector.”
The article, “ITHS Research Scholar Looks At Role of Organic and Conventional Diets During Pregnancy,” details one of many studies Curl has conducted examining the effect that pesticides have on the body.
“Our research question is whether or not we can find a measurable difference in pesticide exposure among pregnant women, dependent on whether they eat conventional or organic produce throughout their second and third trimesters,” Curl said.
