The Master of Athletic Leadership (MAL) Program was featured in an article in the Sept. 8 edition of The Arbiter, Boise State’s student newspaper.
The article highlights some of the unique attributes of the Department of Kinesiology’s new graduate program. The MAL program is focused on helping individuals become leaders in a variety of areas in athletics, including athletic training, college or high school athletic administration, and coaching. Fourteen members started in the first cohort over the summer with academic coursework taught by faculty across campus. During the school year, when coaches have to travel with their teams, the schedule structure allows them to focus on a professional experience and utilize their work experience as part of their education.
