Save the date for Research Computing Days Feb. 16-17, two days of presentations and workshops dealing with scientific computing. Events are from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. each day in the Student Union Building. Events include:
- Software Carpentry Courses in Unix Shell, Git, Python, MATLAB, and R.
- Special guest speaker talks on Supercomputing in Plain English (SiPE), including “What the Heck is Supercomputing?”
- Buzz Session: Pizza and Posters to share and explore computational and data-intensive research being done by students at Boise State.
- Lightning talks presented by Boise State researchers
- Resources Fair and a FREE Appetizer Lunch sponsored by OIT
- User Group Kickoff for Python, MATLAB, and R
Research Computing Days is free for anyone in the campus research community, from graduate assistants to established researchers.
