Carrie Freeman is an Academic Advisor in the College of Heath Sciences. She began her career in San Diego, California as an elementary classroom teacher working with 3rd and 6th graders, in both the private and inner city/public setting. A move to Idaho in 2005, led to an 18 year career in virtual education. Carrie began her online adventure as an elementary and middle school teacher, transitioning into operations and management. Carrie has always been passionate about supporting students and her colleagues in their educational/ work and life goals; working through challenges and celebrating successes.
Carrie is a very proud boy mom of two amazing young men. She enjoys her empty nest with her husband of 26 years and young pup, Frankie. Carrie is usually up for any adventure, especially if it involves the mountains, good friends/ family, great food and a good read!
