It is a pleasure to welcome everyone (new and returning) to the Fall 2024 semester. As we head into the new semester, the COHS Advising Team would like to offer a few pointers and important announcements to help you begin the semester strong.

Join us for our College of Health Sciences Bronco Welcome!

Please join us for our annual College of Health Sciences Bronco Welcome BBQ, happening Wednesday, August 28th (second week of school) at the Norco Back patio from 12:30-2:30PM. There will be music, free food, balloons and photo ops. Buster Bronco will also be making an appearance. We have a full list of faculty, staff, and student clubs and orgs for you to meet and learn more about. We hope to see you there for a great time!

For our new students: We look forward to seeing you at your Required Advising (RAD) appointment. Please be watching your Boise State email from a member of our team to learn when and how you can sign up for your Required Advising Appointment. Additionally, to facilitate a productive and helpful advising session, please have:

1. The correct major listed on your student center. For specific instructions if you need to change your major, please click here.

2. A review of your Academic Advisement Report (AAR) also located on your student center. We introduced the AAR to you at orientation. Please review your AAR to review your degree requirements. Click here for instructions.

3. A list of academic advising related questions and a report on how your first semester is going.

For All Students:

We have updated our Fall 2024 Virtual Drop In Hours. These will be (excluding campus-related holidays):

Pre-Clinical Students: (Pre-Social Work, Pre-Radiologic Sciences, Pre-Respiratory Care, Pre-Nursing)

Pre-Health Students: (Kinesiology, Health Studies, Public Health, Health Sciences Undeclared)

Please take a look at our College of Health Sciences website to learn more details of a full roster of events and workshops that you might be interested in. Also, if you plan on adding/dropping courses, make sure to visit the Academic Calendar for important deadlines and due dates.
