$14/hr

Idaho Equine Hospital is a full service equine veterinary referral hospital in Nampa, Idaho. It is our mission to provide high-quality medical care for our patients. Our hospital is staffed around the clock with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and assistants. This is a part-time position available for a veterinary assistant to work overnight shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The individual will be responsible for working in conjunction with the on-site veterinarian to monitor in house patients, assist with medical and surgical emergencies and perform hospitalized patient treatments. The individual will also be expected to provide assistance during emergency surgical procedures, perform lab work, cleaning and stocking.
This position is well suited for an individual who is considering a career in veterinary medicine as it will provide exposure to a wide variety of cases. Prior horse handling experience recommended/preferred.
