Dear College of Health Sciences Broncos:
Campus Closure
Boise State’s campus will be closed from December 24th through January 1st for the holidays. During this time, our advising office and virtual drop-in will be closed as well.
Remote Office Dates
Our office will be working remotely during the winter break, from December 16th through January 10th. During this period, advisors will be available to assist students through virtual appointments and email. Please refer to Our Team’s page for the contact information and booking links for your advisor.
Office Hours
Our normal office hours will continue while working remotely:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Please note that during this time in-person appointments will not be available.
For our new students
We look forward to seeing you at your Required Advising (RAD) appointment. Please be watching your Boise State email from a member of our team to learn when and how you can sign up for your Required Advising Appointment. Additionally, to facilitate a productive and helpful advising session, please have:
- The correct major listed on your student center. For specific instructions if you need to change your major, please visit Change my Major.
- A review of your Academic Advisement Report (AAR) also located on your student center. We introduced the AAR to you at orientation. Please review your AAR to review your degree requirements. Visit Academic Advisement Report for instructions.
- A list of academic advising related questions and a report on how your first semester is going.

We have updated our Fall 2024 Virtual Drop In Hours. These will be (excluding campus-related holidays):
Pre-Clinical Students
- (Pre-Social Work, Pre-Radiologic Sciences, Pre-Respiratory Care, Pre-Nursing)
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 3:00-4:00PM Mountain Time Via Zoom
Pre-Health Students
- (Kinesiology, Health Studies, Public Health, Health Sciences Undeclared)
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 3:00-4:00PM Mountain Time Via Zoom

Nursing Admission Process Help
We have a page full of videos to help you prepare to successfully apply to the nursing program.
We also offer an online workshop for Pre-Nursing students with 26 credits or more who have met their pre-requisite requirements to learn how to apply successfully. Use the button to visit our application tips page to learn more and register for the workshop.
Not quite ready to apply? Don’t worry, we offer workshops every semester. In the meantime, talk to your academic advisor about your specific pre-requisite questions.
