Graduate Ambassadors serve as a peer-to-peer connection between prospective and current graduate students at Boise State. Graduate Ambassadors help with Graduate College events, such as Graduate Fairs, the Doctoral Recruitment Event, Graduate School Information Sessions, and Graduate Student Appreciation Week. Ambassadors also answer inquiry form questions, help curate social media content, and conduct campus tours. No one knows the graduate student experience more than current graduate students, so the Graduate Ambassadors provide personalized insight for prospective students.

Sushmi Baniya is a graduate student pursuing an M.A. in Public Health at Boise State University. She holds a B.S. in Nursing from Padmashree Institute of Nursing in Bangalore, India, along with a graduate certificate in Gerontology. With experience as a Life Enrichment Team Member, Sushmi has developed strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage meaningfully with diverse individuals. Currently, she works as a front desk assistant at Boise State University, where she enjoys supporting students and fostering a welcoming environment. After earning a B.S. in Psychological and Brain Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2020, Holly has had professional experience in various roles across the mental health and social work fields. These experiences have allowed her to develop strong skills in coordination, mentorship, data analysis, and client support. Biomedical Engineering, Ph.D.
Calvin Jones is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Biomedical Engineering Doctoral Program with a focus on biomaterials and tissue engineering. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2021 (WHOOP!) with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. His research explores the nano-mechanical properties of novel biomaterials and how they can be modulated to direct cell differentiation, aiming to improve regenerative therapies for complex musculoskeletal tissues. Passionate about mentoring students and helping others navigate graduate school, Calvin is excited to collaborate with prospective students and share his experiences!
