Display of artifacts and books related to Mozambique and Gorongosa National Park. Available during library hours.
Monday, November 18
Fulbright-Hays GPA Mozambique Session
Location: Student Union Building Atrium next to Buster’s kitchen
Fulbright-Hays GPA participants will share their experiences in the form of a poster session. This event will start at 10:00 AM.
Luminary Gallery Exhibit
Location: Center for Visual Arts Atrium
As part of International Education Week, the Luminary Gallery will feature an exhibit highlighting Boise State’s connections and partnerships in Mozambique and Gorongosa National Park. The interactive exhibit will showcase the unique partnerships that Boise State has forged with Eduardo Mondlane University in the capital city of Maputo as well as connections and research in Gorongosa National Park and the communities that surround it.
The interactive exhibit will include feature stories, photos, and videos from the Boise State 2024 Fulbright-Hays Group Project in Mozambique. In this project, six Boise State Faculty and seven Idaho K-12 teachers participated in a month-long cultural exchange focused on sustainability in Mozambique.
The exhibit will also feature current research projects and partnerships by Boise State faculty in Gorongosa park and will highlight Boise State Business Administration student Gabriela Curtiz, who works for the park and was the first female safari guide. She is graduating from Boise State this fall and traveled with the Fulbright Group this summer. This event will take place from 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM.
Cultural Conversations: Talk Time
Location: Boulder Hall, Room 119
Looking to connect with international and multilingual students? Want to learn more and/or share more about American culture? Join us for Talk Time, an informal and fun opportunity to connect with new friends and practice your language skills. This IE week, we’re diving into American accents, idioms, and slang. Discover why people from across the country speak the way they do. Pick up some cool slang to spice up your conversations. This event will take place from 1:30 PM- 2:30 PM.
Spain Information Session
Location: Simplot Micron Advising and Success Hub Building, Room 210
Informational session about all things Spain! Covering topics such as programs, visas, transportation, culture shock, health and safety, food, packing lists and festivals/cultural events. This event will take place from 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM.

Informational booth for COEN students interested in studying abroad. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management students with study abroad experience will be present to answer students questions about GE3, USAC, TEAN, and more. Peace Corps Prep Program Information Session
Location: Center for Visual Arts, Room 216
Interested in applying to serve in the United States Peace Corps after graduation? Drop in or join this entire information session to learn about the Peace Corps Prep program – a free opportunity preparing undergraduates as competitive applicants for intercultural work. Campus and local Return Peace Corps Volunteers will share stories about their Peace Corps service experiences. This event will take place from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM.
