    Wendy Ball

    Business Operations Manager

I am the Business Operations Coordinator for the Center for Global Engagement, Boise State University.  I joined the CGE team a little over 4 years ago as the Management Assistant.  I am a native Idahoan, originally from the Burley/Rupert area in South Central Idaho.  With my personal love for travel and my 25+ years experience as an administrative professional, I am excited to accompany the participants of the Fulbright Hays Group Project Abroad to Mozambique, lending my skill set to bring optimal productivity, efficiency and service quality to this experience.  I also look forward to gaining first-hand knowledge about African and Mozambican cultures and building new working relationships both domestically and internationally.

    Gabriela Curtiz

    Onsite Coordinator

Gabriela Curtiz was born in Beira, Mozambique, Province of Sofala. Her interest in environmentalism started at the age of 9 when she was part of the environmental team in primary school. She participated in the youth seminar on biodiversity conservation in Gorongosa in 2016. The seminar lasted five working days interacting with people from different cultures and experts in conservation biology. In 2017, she interned at the Paleo Primate Project and worked with national and international students. That opportunity gave her access to very experienced scientists from different countries and gained knowledge in new areas. After a year, Gaby found an opportunity at the Gorongosa Tourism Department and serve as a guide. She took this opportunity. A year later, she became the first female guide in Gorongosa National Park.

Gaby is currently a student at Boise State University, in the  College of Business and Economics. Upon completing her studies in the U.S., she hopes to take her skills and knowledge back to her village and help improve the lives of people in Gorongosa.
