Nagoya is the fourth largest city in Japan.This centrally located city boasts cultural icons such as Nagoya Castle, Atsuta Jingu, the Toyota Museum, and the Tokugawa Art Museum.

Chukyo University is one of the largest private universities in central Japan and has two campus locations: Nagoya and Toyota. Boise State students study at the Nagoya campus. Majors: All majors
Grade level: Sophomore and above
Other: It is recommended that students have take one year of Japanese, but it is not required.
Academics
Students may take Japanese language courses from beginning to advanced levels and students can earn approximately 12-15 credits of Japanese during their time abroad. Students may also take culture classes such as Japanese Culture and Society or Comparative Cultural Studies Course information is located on the Chukyo website.
Academic calendar
There are two semesters offered at Chukyo University. The first semester runs from late March to mid-August and the second semester runs from mid-September until late January.
Due to these scheduling differences, students will need to participate for an entire academic year or the spring semester only.
