Business and Economics course approvals

The College of Business and Economics (COBE) requires students seeking course approvals for study abroad or exchange to check in with their COBE academic advisor first to discuss the course approval process before reaching out to an academic department.

Your advisor  will help you review the Course Finder and direct you to the department chair to obtain a course approval signature  if needed.

Before meeting with a department chair you must include a detailed course description and a syllabus if possible. Requests must be sent to the appropriate department, for example, Corporate Finance, must be submitted to the Finance chair.

Electives do not need to be evaluated. You can tell a course is going to transfer back as an elective if it does not have a close Boise State equivalent course, such as Fashion Marketing.
