Avalos Family Joins the Lyle Smith Society

Boise State football head coach Andy Avalos and his wife Summer have joined the Lyle Smith Society, a philanthropic giving option launched by the Bronco Athletic Association in December 2020.

“The support of our donors and fans is what makes this place so special, and what helps us provide an elite student-athlete experience,” Andy Avalos said. “Having played here and graduated from here, what we’re building for the next generation of Broncos is incredible and important to us.”

“So much so that we have also joined the Lyle Smith Society, making a commitment to the athletic department and scholarships for all student-athletes,” Summer Avalos said.

Lyle Smith Society membership begins with a minimum pledge of $25,000 over a five-year period or donating an annual cash gift of $25,000 or more.

The Lyle Smith Society is named after the iconic, longtime Boise State football coach and administrator.

A leadership-giving society to support Boise State Athletics, the purpose of the Lyle Smith Society is to increase philanthropic revenues, providing consistent funding for scholarships, operational needs and capital projects. Members of the Lyle Smith Society enjoy unique stewardship opportunities and benefits based on giving level while maintaining the flexibility to designate each gift to the fund of their choice.
