The Boise State University Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of a vibrant group of community-minded individuals who believe in the importance of higher education and in the vital role of Boise State University. Directors understand that philanthropy is an essential means by which the University sustains and enriches academic life and its purpose. Executive Chair
Jim is a partner with Hawley Troxell. He was previously a partner with Moffatt Thomas for 25 years. Jim serves as the executive chair on the Boise State University Foundation board and is a founding member of the Idaho Pro Bono Commission and charter member of the Boise Centennial Rotary Club. He served as chair of the Fourth District Bar Commission and the Idaho State Bar Young Lawyers Section. He has also been involved with the Citizens’ Law Academy, Defense Research Institute, Family Advocates, Federal Bar Association, Idaho Volunteer Lawyers, Sacred Heart, the U.S. District Court Local Civil Rules committee and the Bronco Athletic Association/Alumni Association Biennial Auction committee.

Bruce is co-founder and partner with Buffington Mohr McNeal. His previous employers include First Security Investment Management Inc. and West One Bank. She was previously a senior loan officer and production manager for PrimeLending, and an ICU nurse at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center, Baylor University Medical Center and Duke University Health System. Brandy is the immediate past chair of the Boise State University Foundation board. She served as chair of the boards for the Idaho Humane Society and Saint Alphonsus Foundation. She also served on the Idaho Shakespeare Festival board, Women’s and Children’s Alliance board, Famous Idaho Potato Bowl advisory council and the College of Health Sciences Friends of Nursing advisory board. Brandy was a scholarship champion for the Boise State Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Opportunities scholarship campaign and served as co-chair for the 2011 Saint Alphonsus Festival of Trees. Brian is a CPA principal at Little Morris LLP, a CPA firm in Boise, Idaho. He serves as treasurer and chair of the finance and audit committee on the Boise State University Foundation Board. He is also a member and previous chair of the Bronco Athletic Association. Brian is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Rick Pedigo is president and CEO of Pedigo Products, Inc., a third-generation, family-owned business that manufactures medical devices and is based in Vancouver, Washington. A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration while working full time for the family business. Two of his three children graduated from Boise State University. Rick and his wife are avid Bronco fans as they follow and support Boise State athletic teams by attending games, fundraising events and donate medical products to the School of Nursing, College of Health Sciences and Department of Athletics.

She moved back to Idaho after a long career in Washington DC and New York. Baker served in the Bush Administration as a Deputy Director with the US Department of Commerce and a Regional Administrator for GSA and traveled extensively to handle international media for the White House under several administrations. Previously she worked at BGR Group, a leading lobbying and PR firm in DC, and former Idaho Governor Phil Batt.
Emily also sits on the CSHQA corporate board and is active in the community, serving on the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, the American Red Cross of Greater Idaho Board, and as an Honorary Commander for the 366th Fighter Wing at Mountain Home Air Force Base. Emily is also an adjunct professor in the Political Science department at Boise State University. Her husband Mike and their three boys live in Boise.

Cole Clinger has been president of Melaleuca since February 2022, and oversees the company’s departments of sales, operations, information technology, human resources, recruiting, customer service and supply chain logistics. Prior to his elevation to president, Clinger served as the company’s chief operations officer for four years. At the time, over 70% of Melaleuca’s 2,000 North American employees reported through his office; before that, he served as the company’s chief of staff, director of corporate affairs, and assistant to the president to Melaleuca Founder Frank VanderSloot. Clinger has served as a member of the Shelley School District’s Board of Trustees since 2015, as chairman for most of that time. He graduated magna cum laude from Boise State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications. For many years, Clinger has advocated for Boise State in Eastern Idaho. He and his wife Kate met on the Boise State cheer team, and have four children. His oldest son, Ryker, plays on Boise State’s football team. When not at work, Clinger spends time with his family, chasing his kids from one activity to another, and races racehorses.

Allen Dykman
Allen Dykman is president and co-founder of Dykman, Inc. His business interests also include Dykman Electrical, Inc. and Dykman Properties, LLC. He and his wife, Dixie Dykman, received the 2020 St. Luke’s Ralph J. Comstock Light of Philanthropy Award, were Boise State University Homecoming Grand Marshalls in 2006 and Bronco Athletic Association/Alumni Association Biennial Auction Honorees in 2011.
This will be Dykman’s second time serving on the foundation board. He is a past executive chair of the board, as well as past president of the Boise State Alumni Association and Bronco Athletic Association, co-chair of the Destination Distinction Campaign steering committee, and a member of the President’s Advisory Board. He also serves on the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl executive committee.

Dr. Epperly is the President and CEO of the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho, a large Federally Qualified Teaching Health Center comprised of nine FQHC clinics, four ACGME family medicine residency programs, and five fellowships. He received an undergraduate degree in Biology and Anthropology from Utah State University in 1976. He Graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1980. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, Washington in 1983. He completed a faculty development fellowship at the University of North Carolina in 1986 and achieved an additional CAQ in Geriatrics. He retired in July 2001 as Colonel after serving 21 years in the United States Army. He served as the past President and Board Chair of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) representing 135,000 family physicians across the country. He is a past member of the ACGME Board of Directors that has responsibility of all residency and fellowship training for over 140,000 residents and fellows of all specialties in the United States. He currently serves as the Co-Chairman of the Board for the Healthcare Transformation Council of Idaho that is in charge of helping transform healthcare for the State of Idaho. Dr. Epperly is an award-winning physician, teacher, leader, author, researcher, and mentor. His multiple award-winning first book “Fractured: America’s Broken Health Care System and What Must Be Done to Heal It” provides excellent insight to the U.S healthcare system and can be found on Amazon.com. His second book entitled Preparing for the “Next Pandemic: Lessons, Stories and Recommendations from Covid-19” has just been accepted for publication by the Johns Hopkins University Press and will be released in 2022.

Debbie Flandro is a business management professional who retired from Hewlett Packard in 2005, following a 29-year career serving in various roles including Accounting, Production, and Supply Chain Management. She graduated from Boise State with a BBA in Accounting and an MBA, in addition to an Executive MBA from Duke University.
Debbie currently serves as Chair of the Gaming Board for Northern Quest Resort and Casino in Spokane, Washington. She previously served on the Advisory Board for the College of Business and Economics, where she was served a term as President, and also was Chair of the Education Subcommittee. Other community roles have included serving on the Board of the Treasure Valley YMCA and as a docent for the Idaho Anne Frank Center for Human Rights Memorial. An Idaho native, Debbie lives in Boise with her husband Jerry.

Korey is a former Boise State athlete with a degree in Construction Management. He went on to play in the NFL for five seasons with both the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints. Upon retiring from the NFL, he worked as a project manager for ESI Construction on multiple large commercial projects in Boise, including the Boise State Fine Arts Building. For the past three years, he has been the head of construction for BVA Development specializing in commercial, medical and large industrial projects.

Darren is a 2nd generation Owner/Operator and franchisee of McDonald’s Restaurants since returning to his hometown of Twin Falls, Idaho in 2003. He had had ketchup in his veins from a very young age after moving to Idaho as a toddler when his father first became a McDonald’s franchisee over 50 years ago and later working in the restaurants beginning at age 11. Darren currently operates 12 restaurant locations in South Central Idaho stretching from Mountain Home to Burley and Twin Falls to Hailey and is responsible for overseeing business strategic planning and people initiatives, community building activities and partnerships, as well as the operations execution to the 11,000 customers that visit his restaurants every day. He does this alongside his father, brother, and over 600 dedicated supervisors, managers, crew, and support staff.
Darren received his BBA in Accounting from Boise State University in 1992 and his license as Certified Public Accountant in 1993. Prior to returning to McDonald’s, Darren spent 11 years in public accounting practice as a Senior Tax Manager in the Boise office of Deloitte.
In addition to the Boise State University Foundation, Darren currently sits on the board of directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Magic Valley, and the BSU College of Business and Economics Advisory Council. He is also a past board member of the BSU Alumni Association, the Idaho Society of CPAs and numerous other charitable organizations.

Cheryl is lecturer emerita in the College of Business and Economics at Boise State University. She previously served as the associate vice president for University Advancement at Boise State following a 24-year career in corporate banking. Bernadette has been a resident of Idaho for over 40 years. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boise State University (BSU) where she graduated as a Top 10 Scholar. She is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Board of Directors of both Lamb Weston and BSU’s Foundations, Create Common Good, and a member of BSU’s College of Business and Economics Advisory Council.

David McFadyen, President and CEO, of Trinity Health West Region – Saint Agnes and Saint Alphonsus Health System, provides executive leadership, strategic and operational oversight for a 996 bed, 5-hospital region, and a 40-bed acute rehabilitation Joint Venture with 87 clinics and 2 freestanding Emergency Departments, a Clinically Integrated Network across the 3 states of Idaho, Oregon, and California, and 10 other Joint Ventures. The West Region employs over 9,000 colleagues which includes over 670 Primary Care and Specialty Care medical providers.
Immediately prior to this role, from 2020-2024, he served as President of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center responsible for leading the strategic, financial, and operational direction of the region’s leading level II trauma center with 418-bed medical center located in Boise, Idaho.
Prior to joining Saint Alphonsus Health System, David served as a senior executive leader in various roles within the St. Luke’s Health System. Roles included Vice President of Population Health from 2018-2020 where he provided operational leadership for St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center including Idaho’s only Children’s Hospital (420-bed regional medical center), St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Hospital, and two critical access hospitals in Elmore and McCall. David also had matrix accountability for post-acute and ambulatory clinic operations within the service area, and Air St. Luke’s operations (fixed wing, rotor and ground). In this role, she is responsible for sourcing institutional capital in support of affordable housing. Previously, she spent 20 years at KeyBank. She serves as a board member for NewWest Community Capital, Boise State University Foundation and is a member of the Board of Commissioners for Boise City/ Ada County Housing Authority. Rick is a founding and managing member of McConnell, Wagner, Sykes + Stacey, PLLC (“MWSS”). MWSS is a boutique law firm located in Boise, specializing in construction, real estate, and employment law. He was previously a partner in the law firm of Meuleman Mollerup, LLP. Rick has been recognized by Mountain States Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers for his work in construction law.
Rick is also a member of the board of directors for the Boise State University Alumni Association. He served on the executive committee of the association from 2012-2022, including two terms as president between 2019 and 2021. He received the Alumni Association’s Outstanding Service Award in 2014 and President’s Award in 2017. He is also actively involved in the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Idaho and has served on the board of directors and executive committee for its Construction Leadership Council.
Rick has a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Boise State University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Utah.
Rick is a founding and managing member of McConnell, Wagner, Sykes + Stacey, PLLC (“MWSS”). MWSS is a boutique law firm located in Boise, specializing in construction, real estate, and employment law. He was previously a partner in the law firm of Meuleman Mollerup, LLP. Rick has been recognized by Mountain States Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers for his work in construction law.
Rick is also a member of the board of directors for the Boise State University Alumni Association. He served on the executive committee of the association from 2012-2022, including two terms as president between 2019 and 2021. He received the Alumni Association’s Outstanding Service Award in 2014 and President’s Award in 2017. He is also actively involved in the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Idaho and has served on the board of directors and executive committee for its Construction Leadership Council.

Richelle Sugiyama
Richelle is investment officer for the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI). Her previous employers include the State of Idaho Endowment Fund Investment Board (EFIB), Dorn, Helliesen & Cottle Inc. and D.B. Fitzpatrick & Co. Inc.
Richelle serves on the Boise State University Foundation board, EFIB board and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers investment committee. She served on the Bronco Athletic Association board and has represented PERSI on advisory boards. Richelle has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Boise State University.

Kimberly is a retired investment banker. Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, she graduated Boise State University in 1987 with a 4.0 GPA in Business Administration, was the Outstanding Finance Graduate, and received the Distinguished Alumni Award. Guided by the incredible finance professors at Boise State, she was awarded a full Graduate Assistant Scholarship for her Masters at State University of New York at Albany, where she received the 2008 Excellence in Business Award and served on the Business Dean’s Advisory Board.
As Managing Director at UBS/PaineWebber, Morgan Stanley & Janney Montgomery Scott, she financed trillions of dollars in large-scale municipal infrastructure projects through the origination and syndication of bond issues over the course of her 30-year career on Wall Street.

Matt Wolff
Matt Wolff currently serves as the President of the St. Luke’s Health Plan, a wholly owned subsidiary of St. Luke’s Health System, based in Boise, Idaho. Prior to launching the provider-sponsored insurance entity in 2022, he led St. Luke’s Health Partners. He has held various management positions within St. Luke’s Health System over the past 12 years, including financial and revenue cycle leadership. Prior to joining the healthcare industry, Matt had entrepreneurial experience in multiple startups, and with Deloitte & Touche, LLP in the audit and assurance practice.
Wolff is a graduate of Boise State with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accountancy and a master’s in accountancy.

Justin is a fifth-generation Idahoan and proud Kaveman. Justin studied Accounting at Boise State graduating in 2003. he works in the financial services industry as a commercial banker with Heritage Bank. He currently resides in Meridian and is the proud parent of sixth-generation Idahoans Adelaide and August. Most of his free time is spent with his family, but in his other free time, he likes to read, watch documentaries, attend concerts, play any sport, snow bike, and get outdoors as much as possible.

Jason serves as Deloitte Tax LLP’s US Retail & Distribution industry leader. In his role, he is responsible for the strategy of the Tax practice and collaborating with national industry specialists by bringing a tax perspective and insights to retail and distribution clients. Jason has nearly 20 years of experience advising clients in multiple areas of the tax law including merger and acquisition transactions, financial reporting for income taxes and accounting periods and methods.
