Boise State alumnus Jennifer Seamons, ’06, ’11, gives both of her time and treasure to her alma mater, serving as a board member of the Boise State Alumni Association and financially supporting the endowed Legacy Scholarship.
Jennifer and her husband, Stan Seamons, ’01, are members of the Boise State Loyal Donor program – providing consecutive years of financial support toward an area of that is most important to them. These Loyal Broncos are faithful members of the Bronco Family, and their support is instrumental in the success of Boise State students.
Jennifer also serves on the scholarship committee for the alumni association, which includes overseeing the Legacy Scholarship.
The Alumni Legacy Scholarship was established in 2004 by the Boise State Alumni Association to encourage a family tradition of attending Boise State University, and the scholarship helps recruit the best and brightest students. Since the inception of the Legacy Scholarship, more than $2 million has been contributed toward the fund which provides support to 20 students annually.
“The wonderful aspect of this the Alumni Legacy Scholarship fund is that so many people are responsible for the impact that it makes,” she said. “I love knowing that my family is a part of that impact. It allows contributors to give what they can, and through the combined contributions, we are able to have a huge impact.”
Jennifer Seamons
Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and a master’s degree in accountancy from Boise State, and Stan earned his communication degree here in 2001. Both are strong advocates for higher education and scholarships for both merit- and need-based students.
“We believe that education is the answer to eradicating poverty and are so blessed to have been able to further our education at Boise State,” Jennifer said. “My husband and I have two young children and it is our hope that they are afforded every opportunity to gain a solid education like their parents did.”
