Parent and Family Giving

Our Partners in Student Success

Parents and family members are one of our greatest partners in ensuring student success.

Your generosity helps to create a campus community where your student and all Broncos can learn, grow and thrive.

Parent and Family Philanthropy Circle

Join a community of fellow Bronco parents and family members to further the mission of Boise State in meaningful ways through philanthropy. Members of the Parent and Family Philanthropy Circle engage deeply with the university and act as valued advocates within the larger community of Boise State parents and family members.

The Parent and Family Philanthropy Circle is a great way to stay connected and informed about all things Boise State while also enhancing the student experience and well-being.

Join the Circle

Parent and Family Philanthropy Circle members participate with an annual commitment of $1,000 or more to the Parent and Family Fund, Student Emergency Fund, Internship Support Fund or another fund that aligns with their family’s philanthropic priorities. Members attend meetings and events with university leaders and serve as ambassadors for the university.

Circle members enjoy:

  • Opportunities to engage with university leadership and faculty at private gatherings.
  • Connection to a strong network of proud Bronco families.
  • Information about current research, initiatives and priorities that make Boise State a trailblazing institution.
  • Behind-the-scenes access to unique locations across campus.
  • Opportunities to attend events like tailgates, performances and lectures.
  • Boise State spirit items.
  • Additional benefits depend on interest areas and level of commitment.

Parent and Family Fund

Gifts to the Parent and Family Fund support the vibrant Bronco student experience. The fund is used to improve the spaces, programs and opportunities that all students can access during their time at the university.

From enhancing the Student Union to bolstering student clubs to supporting career readiness, your gifts to the Parent and Family Fund ensure that all students can have a transformative experience at Boise State University.

Student Emergency Fund

The Student Emergency Fund provides one-time grants of up to $500 to assist Broncos who need a small amount of financial assistance to get through a crisis and stay in school. Each student who receives a grant receives individualized consulting to explore available community resources and outreach options.

A grant from the Student Emergency Fund can be the difference between graduating on time or not graduating at all.

Internship Support Fund

The Internship Support Fund provides scholarships for students to participate in hands-on learning outside the classroom. Unpaid experiences — approximately 65% of all placements — are highly valuable and often life-changing for students.

Unfortunately, many students have to work to support themselves and cannot afford to take time off to participate in unpaid experiences, even though they are directly relevant to their career goals.
