Dr. Aiden VanderStouwe, Director
Dr. VanderStouwe is the Director of Gender Studies and a Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics at Boise State. He joined Boise State in January 2016 and teaches courses in Linguistics, Linguistic Anthropology, and Gender Studies. His scholarship focuses on intersections of language and identity, specifically in regard to gender and sexual identities. He has done research looking at identity and victimization among same-sex marriage supporters, linguistic negotiations of identity and desire among straight men seeking men, and cultural patterns of language use among drag performers.
