Next Steps Idaho presents Idaho LAUNCH, an education and training grant program that provides Idaho students a one-time opportunity to have 80% of the tuition and fees covered for select in-demand career programs – up to a maximum amount of $8,000. Eligibility
- Be a class of 2025 Idaho high school or home school graduate or GED completer
- No GPA or financial need requirement
- Be enrolled in or have applied to an in-demand career program at Boise State by the fall 2025 semester
- Complete a Career Pathway Plan or equivalent

What is Idaho LAUNCH at Boise State?
Idaho LAUNCH is designed exclusively for high school seniors graduating with the class of 2025. The primary objective of Idaho LAUNCH is to facilitate a seamless connection between high school seniors and in-demand career opportunities through comprehensive training and education programs offered at Boise State University.
A different iteration of Idaho LAUNCH has been successfully running for approximately three years. This program, known as Idaho LAUNCH for Adults, has been a valuable resource for adults seeking to enhance their skills or transition into new career paths. It has proven instrumental in providing financial support for training in various high-demand careers.
Eligibility
Who can access the Idaho LAUNCH program?
Idaho LAUNCH is available to:
- Idaho high school students graduating in 2025
- Students who continue their education at Boise State immediately following high school (fall 2025 semester)
- Students who enroll in or have applied to an in-demand career program at Boise State by the fall 2025 semester
- Students who complete a Career Pathway Plan or equivalent
Scholarship Amount
How much funding is available for qualified students through Idaho LAUNCH?
- Students can receive up to 80% of their tuition and fees, for a maximum of $8,000.
- The maximum amount that can be awarded in year one is $4,000 for programs that are longer than 12 months in length.
How to Apply
How do I apply for the Idaho LAUNCH program?
- Submit an application through Scholarship Idaho

Important Dates
What are the important dates for the Idaho LAUNCH program?
- Applications for the Idaho LAUNCH program will open October 1 through April 15. High school students are highly encouraged to apply early.
- Award Letters are contingent upon verification of eligibility. There will be three rounds of Contingent Award Letters:
- Round 1 Contingent Award Letters sent by December 31
- Round 2 Contingent Award Letters sent by March 31
- Round 3 Contingent Award Letters sent by May 31
After receiving your Contingent Award Letter, you must log in to Idaho LAUNCH to confirm that you completed all required steps and accept your final grant offer.
- Final Award Letters will be issued in June after eligibility is verified.
