Step Three: Complete the FAFSA

The fall priority deadline is February 15 and the spring priority deadline is October 1 for both the FAFSA and Federal Student Aid Estimator.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-2026 academic year will open in late fall. The last day to submit the FAFSA for the 2025-2026 academic year is June 30, 2025, but the sooner you complete the FAFSA the sooner you will be evaluated for aid. Students who do not meet the citizenship or eligible non-citizenship criteria for the FAFSA may still be eligible for need-based scholarships. Complete the Boise State Scholarship Application and then complete the Federal Student Aid Estimator.
