Join Amy Parrish, Sustainability Director, for an overview of what Boise State is doing to become more sustainable. We’ll cover the university’s greenhouse gas emissions inventory and explore strategies to reduce our carbon footprint. We’ll also discuss recent changes to plastic recycling and other ways to reduce our environmental impact. Come with ideas and questions!
Speaker Bio: Amy is the Sustainability Director at Boise State. She works collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff across campus to plan and implement sustainability projects. Prior to this position, she worked for the city of Boise on a variety of sustainability and climate projects, including climate action planning, building energy efficiency, and vehicle electrification. Amy is a Pacific Northwest native, raised in Walla Walla, Washington. She attended the University of Montana, where she received her BA in Environmental Biology. Outside of work, Amy can be found walking her dog in the foothills, camping with her family, and cheering on her teenagers at mountain bike races and cross-country meets.
