National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Workshop 1

August 29 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm MDT

The Center for Research and Creative Activity (CRCA) is pleased to announce a workshop series on the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP). The NSF GRFP is a prestigious fellowship program that recognizes and supports early-career graduate students who demonstrate the potential to make impactful research contributions in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) or in STEM education. The five-year fellowship provides three years of financial support with an annual stipend of $37,000.

This two-part workshop series will include the following:

  • A virtual workshop on August 29th with an overview of the program by Dr. Chris Hill, NSF Program Director for the Division of Graduate Education.
  • An in-person workshop on September 6th with a six-person panel of previous and current NSF Graduate Research Fellows, who will share their insights on what makes for a competitive application.

To close out the workshops, Kaitlin Maguire and Marney Ellis, Research Development Strategists for CRCA at Boise State, will provide an overview of the support and resources available to students putting together applications.
