The Human Rights Education Conference: Cultivating Compassionate Communities – hosted by Boise State University and the Wasmouth Center for Human Rights. Join us on Saturday, October 21, at Boise State University for our fall conference. We will collectively deepen our understanding of polarization and develop strategies and skills to foster compassionate communities where we all belong and thrive. In addition to workshops facilitated by Braver Angels, Narrative 4, One Stone, Congregation Ahavath Beth Israel, Boise State Writing Project, and the Wassmuth Center, the conference features former neo-Nazi Tony McAleer and director Peter Hutchison. They will engage participants in their film and educational program, The Cure For Hate: Bearing Witness to Auschwitz. Also featured are Idaho Human Rights Educator of the Year, Daisy Rain Martin, and Braver Angels Idaho Co-coordinator Rob Hanson. There is also a student track, so please encourage high school and university students to attend. Save your spot by registering today at https://tinyurl.com/WassmuthConference.
Thank you to the Boise State Writing Project and the Boise State University School of Public Service for sponsoring this year’s conference!
