After four years in the United State Marine Corps, I moved back to my home state of Idaho and began looking for job opportunities. Attracted to the multitude of federal holidays, I eventually secured a position as a part-time teller with D.L. Evans Bank in 2012. While going to Boise State University, I worked through a variety of roles gaining experience as a teller, new accounts representative and loan assistant. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2015 and entered D.L. Evans Bank’s management intern program. Through the intern program I gained further exposure to the Bank’s operations with training in the special assets, credit analysis, and loan file review departments. In April of 2017, I was promoted to a Commercial Loan Officer. In September of 2017, I was presented with an opportunity to transfer into our regional credit department working directly with the Regional Credit Officer on loan file review and approval. I completed my MBA program through Boise State University in 2018. The vast array of experience and education has been helpful in my current role within the regional credit office. I now work directly with the region’s 25 loan officers, serving as a resource on structure and loan policy, review and approve all incoming loan requests above individual loan authorities, and present loans requiring Senior Loan Committee approval each week.
