Boise State Theatre presents: Lost Girl

October 12, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm MDT

The Boise State Department of Theatre, Film and Creative Writing presents “Lost Girl” by Kimberly Belflower and directed by Tracy Sunderland.

Step into the enchanting world of “Lost Girl,” which centers on Wendy Darling in the years following her adventures with Peter Pan. Unable to move on from her youthful experiences and adventures, Wendy decides that she must find Peter again. Along the way, she meets other girls who went to Neverland and learns she is not alone. A coming-of-age exploration of first love and lasting loss, Lost Girl continues the story of J.M. Barrie’s beloved character – the girl who had to grow up. “It’s refreshing, bold, and brave to take such iconic characters into a new and very real place, teeming with the big, wild emotions of adolescence,” writes Kelsey Lawler for Broadway World. “‘Lost Girl’ reminds us that, as Peter says, ‘everything matters.’ The love, the loss, the way in which we grieve, and the time it takes to heal and grow. It matters whether you’re sixteen or sixty. ‘You can’t get back what you give,” Belflower writes. ‘But you can keep giving.’ ‘Lost Girl’ certainly gives with its whole heart.”

Original poster artwork by Erin Cunningham will be available for purchase at every performance. All proceeds from poster sales go to the Theatre Arts Scholarship fund.
