Join the Idaho Center for the Book at Albertsons Library for a discussion and book signing with author Beth Piatote. The Nez Perce writer, scholar, and language activist will read selections, and discuss her acclaimed mixed-genre short story collection, “The Beadworkers: Stories,” which explores contemporary Native American life in Idaho and the Northwest. Piatote will be joined by CMarie Fuhrman (Idaho Writer in Residence, 2021-2023), and the presentation will be followed by a book signing. “The Beadworkers” will be available for purchase from Rediscovered Books at the event.
The Idaho Center for the Book chose “The Beadworkers” to represent Idaho at the 2023 Library of Congress National Book Festival in August.
Paid parking is available at the Brady Street Garage and Lincoln Avenue Garage.
