The Boise State Rocket League team earned another championship victory this week in the Mountain West conference grand finals. Boise State played San Jose State University in a best of 7 match Tuesday night, November 14. This win is another in a string of victories that current varsity squad has earned. The match started off shaky with SJSU winning the first two games of the match. However, the Broncos started a rally in a game 3 to take back the match 4-2.
The victory is much needed for the Broncos after being knocked out of the NACE Rocket League finals. The Broncos lost in thier quarterfinal match against Maryville university, with Maryville pulling off a reverse sweep to win that match 4-3. The lone remaining championship remaining this semester is the CRL Fall championships, taking place November 17-19. The Broncos have reason to be optimistic for this championship, managing to have a person regular season in the CRL West conference. But with tough opponents such as Northwood and Maryville waiting for them in the championship, victory is still very much up in the air.
