eFuse has released their official Spring Season Coaches’ Poll for 2021. This poll consists of coaches from a wide variety of the top collegiate esports teams. These colleges have been ranked for their individual esport dominance respectively. Boise State has been selected in the top ten for collegiate Overwatch programs.
All results are based off of previous performances, winter tournament results, and scrimmage results. While Boise State did rank in the top ten for the eFuse Coach Poll, there is room to climb the ranks in the upcoming weeks. Be sure to stay tuned to both the Boise State Esports page and the eFuse page for further updates.
“We’re grateful that college esports in big enough to warrant list making and prognostication”, Boise State Head Coach “Doc” Haskell added when seeing release. “We can speculate all day about who is the best on the block, but we like the neighborhood we live in.”
Boise State’s is currently ranked 8th overall with 25 points from the Coaches’ Poll behind universities such as Harrisburg, Maryville, Utah, and UC Irvine. To place within the top ten among such well established esports programs speaks volumes for the work the Overwatch team is doing. Since we first started the esports program at Boise State, Overwatch has become one of the most prestigious titles that we complete in. There is still plenty of time in the season for Boise State to place higher than 8th in the eFuse Coaches Poll for Overwatch. To see how Boise State does in their matches he sure to tune into the Boise State Twitch channel as well as follow Boise State Esports on Twitter.
