Broncos vs. Bankers 2025 – Daily Recap

Presented by ICCU and Powered by Bragging Rights

Another year, another Bankers vs. Broncos in the books. Both sides put up valiant efforts in all four days of competition, and both sides certainly enjoyed themselves. The Bronco’s varsity teams were strong this year, but ICCU brought their A game and took the Broncos to the wire in multiple titles. See how the event played out below:

Bankers vs. Broncos Day 1: Tuesday – Rocket League Qualifier (ICCU-Only)

The Go Green Team warmed up with some internal competition as Sarno and Friends took on the Boost Bros in a best-of-seven series that certainly didn’t end up going all seven. What was hyped as a friendly rematch quickly turned into a Rocket League audit. Sarno and Friends swept 4–0 without conceding a single goal—yes, a perfect sweep. Boost Bros had moments, but Sarno’s squad had Liquidy, and that was basically the game.

Final Score: Sarno and Friends def. Boost Bros, 4–0
Takeaway: Sometimes “Boost” isn’t enough.

Bankers vs. Broncos Day 2: Thursday – Marvel Rivals Rumble and College Football 25 Clash

Four teams entered the fray in Marvel Rivals—two from Boise State, two from ICCU—in a chaotic crossover of ultimate abilities, questionable team comps (on Doc’s team), and surprisingly sweaty mirror matches. The event opened with Doc’s Broncos (“Loki Carrying”) vs. Coach K’s Broncos (Dave Matthews Band, or DMB). The sweet sounds of music came from the PCs, as DMB turned up the heat and took down Doc’s squad. ICCU (ATM) vs. ICCU (Bankers) was the second game of the day, and ATM had the money flowing. A clean sweep saw them advance to the championship game, where top Boise squad (Coach K’s squad) met the top Go Green Team (ATM because they’re automatic) in the grand finals.  Three nail-biters later, the Broncos came out on top, but the Go Great Team certainly didn’t go quietly

When asked about the performance of his team, Head Coach Doc Haskell could not be reached for comment. It should be noted that Haskell played Magnito the whole game, and refused to swap.

Boise State’s Matthew “Sprub” Wallace, the defending Mountain West Champion, took on the Go Green Team in a CFB25 matchup in between Rivals games. CFB25 is a new title in Bankers vs. Broncos. Wallace donned the blackout jerseys for Boise State, while a Rose Bowl-esqe uniform combo from LifeThroughDoug had his Utah Utes reminiscing of better times. Wallace and Doug traded scores early, but some slick user interceptions from the middle and outside linebackers gave Wallace a hefty lead at half that Dough couldn’t overcome.

Finals Outcome: Broncos secure the win with some Hulk-sized momentum.

CFB25 Result: Defense won championships… agian
MVP Moment: The one ICCU player who picked Iron Man and played like he coded the game.

Bankers vs. Broncos Day 3: Friday – Rocket League Throwdown (Varsity vs ICCU) & Fortnite Zone Wars

Time for the main event: the ICCU Go Green team vs. Boise State’s Varsity Rocket League Squad. While the bankers have dominated CoD in the past, this was Rocket League—aka the Broncos’ backyard. Precision passing, aerial plays, and a little demo-spam led to a commanding Boise win, though the bankers put up a valiant defense. Boise State’s Gil vs ICCU’s Liquidy was the matchup to watch, with both players scoring jaw dropping goals and heart stopping saves.

Zone Wars in Fortnite turned into a literal storm of building, box fights, and flying vegetables. Both games offered a great mix of skill, spectacle, and “wait, how did I die?” ICCU fielded a total of six teams for the competition, split into two games. All six teams showed flashes, but Royals from Boise State shut them down with some… questionable strategies. These were quickly corrected by the match official.

Rocket League Result: Boise State wins, but ICCU showed enough spark to keep it close.

Fortnite Result: Go Green holds their own with some slick zone control.
Highlight: That one save from Go Green that made the whole arena gasp… followed by the own goal 10 seconds later.

Bankers vs. Broncos Day 4: Saturday – Smash Bros

Smash Bros brought the chaos, with players from both teams trading stocks and taunts like it was a Wall Street pit in the ‘90s. An intense crew battle that saw games go right to the end finished in the Broncos favor, but one or two “Down Bs” going a different way could have changed the game, as ICCU looked strong, per usual.

Smash Result: Broncos take the W after a last-stock nail-biter.
Fun Fact: At least three players fell off the stage. On purpose.

Series Summary

  • Boise State cleans up in Rocket League, CFB25 and Marvel Rivals, with Fortnite and Smash coming down to the wire
  • Both sides win when it comes to energy, sportsmanship, and post-match memes
