Boise State has been chosen to compete in the HUE Invitational Tournament which will take place this weekend, Sept. 19-20.
Boise State Esports was selected from a group of hundreds of colleges and will be battling it out in both League of Legends and Overwatch.
“We’re honored to be listed among the top esports schools in the nation and our teams are preparing to show what we’re made of,” Doc Haskell, Head Coach, said.
The tournament has gone totally virtual this year and will consist of an initial day of elimination games followed by a second day of finals.
Viewers can tune in on the Harrisburg University Twitch channels for Overwatch and League of Legends.
According to the HUE website, players and fans can also meet virtually and network with other esports enthusiasts during a summit two days prior leading up to the tournament, on Sept. 17-18.
Then, the main event will take place, “watch as the top collegiate teams in North America battle for the title of HUE Champion in League of Legends and Overwatch!”
