The CAES Energy Policy Institute is hiring Graduate Research Assistants for upcoming semesters.
The CAES Energy Policy Institute is a nonpartisan and evidence-based research and advising center that specializes in bridging engineering and economic understanding of energy with applied, social and technical analysis. Among our activities, we host Power Talks, advise, convene meetings/briefings and conduct research. Student researchers are sought to support a range of research projects, such as ones on critical infrastructure, energy hubs and jobs, energy-water systems, emerging markets, wildfires and the grid, etc.
Applicants
We are currently seeking graduate or undergraduate student researchers to participate in a community-engaged project on energy, water, and land use. Experience with or interest in Tribal government is a plus. Students with strengths in researching policy or planning processes are encouraged to apply. The open positions are for either a Graduate Research Assistantship (GRA) providing a competitive stipend, tuition, health insurance, and student fees for the fall or spring semester, with a possibility for renewal; or an hourly position of up to 20 hours a week during the semester with an option for additional summer work depending on need and performance. Compensation commensurate with experience.
