The Environmental Science Bachelor's Degree
The bachelor’s degree in environmental science (EnvSci) produces scientists who are able to solve complex and important environmental problems at the intersection of the natural and social sciences. Students can also pursue one of the following emphases as part of obtaining their environmental science degree: applied environmental science; data science in environmental science; or environmental science communication and translation emphasis.
Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies
Environmental studies prepares students for advanced education in law, public policy, social sciences and humanities, as well as careers in environmental and government organizations. Past students have chosen emphases in ecological restoration, energy efficiency, environmental policy, green business and sustainability, water resource management, urban environmentalism and climate change science.
Masters of Environmental Management
The Masters of Environmental Management program, co-offered by the School of Public Service and the School of the Environment, provides students with real-life, experiential learning opportunities within three tracks:
- Human Dimensions of Environmental Management
- Biophysical Dimensions of Environmental Management
- Research Track
Graduate Certificate in Human-Environment Systems
The Certificate in Human-Environment Systems is an interdisciplinary certificate program that trains students to solve complex environmental problems, formulate research questions and communicate scientific findings effectively to diverse audiences.
