Interests
Mythology, online pedagogy, multidisciplinary studies, interfaith dialogue, literary translation, Spanish culture and history (origins and development of Flamenco and intercultural artistic achievements of medieval Spain).
Ruth has taught at Boise State since 2002, focusing on introductory literature courses; composition, research and rhetoric; poetry and nonfiction writing; and Foundations of Ethics and Diversity (UF200). She also facilitates creative writing workshops at several local nonprofit organizations.
Ruth’s poems, essays, reviews, and academic articles have appeared in multiple periodicals including Boise Weekly, Chiron Review, The Desert Chronicle, Calyx, Hawaii Pacific Review, America Magazine: The Jesuit Review of Faith & Culture, and The International Journal of Arts, Theory, and History.
