[Heather Campbell, business major, TRIO Rising Scholar]: Being a first-generation student to me means that you have the bravery and courage to go down a path which you aren’t guided. Programs such as TRIO Rising Scholars at Boise State have really contributed to my success by giving me a support system of peers and mentors as well as leading me to new opportunities that will make me successful in the end.
