Bill Parrett, director emeritus and professor for the Center for School Improvement and Policy Studies, has been recognized by his alma mater, Indiana University School of Education, through the Distinguished Alumni Award.
As founder of the Center for School Improvement and Policy Studies, Parrett administered and coordinated funded projects and school improvement initiatives that exceed $80 million. His research and work in school improvement focuses on reducing achievement gaps in PK-12 public schools for children and adolescents living in poverty. Parrett retired earlier this year after 24 years of service.
