Congratulations to Dena Allred on being named the new superintendent of Castleford School District starting July 1st. Allred is also graduating in the Spring 2020 class with an educational specialist degree from the Executive Educational Leadership program.
Allred will be replacing outgoing superintendent Lyle Bayley, ’16 (also a graduate of the Executive Educational Leadership program), who is leaving Castleford to serve as the new superintendent for the Fruitland School District starting July 1st.
“I look forward to the next phase of my career and to the challenge to make education at Castleford School District for our students, staff, and community even better” said Allred. Of the Executive Educational Leadership program, Allred also said “I enrolled and never looked back and this has been the best educational decision I have ever made. I have loved the cohort design and the relevant education. I will always have a connection with this group of people as friends and as colleagues.”
Allred graduated from Castleford High School in 1988, and spent time in Colorado and Germany while her husband served in the Army. Allred and her husband moved back to the Castleford area to raise their family, and she has served as both an elementary teacher and principal for several years.
