Meet Sara Hagenah, an assistant professor in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Foundational Studies, and one of the newest faculty members in the College of Education.
What are your areas of teaching/interest/research?
My research is deeply engaged with school-community partnerships and aims to collaboratively advance ambitious and equitable STEM teaching and learning. I teach secondary science methods and graduate level equity in STEM Education courses. I coordinate the graduate secondary certification and MS in STEM Education programs.
What are some of your favorite things about Boise State?
I love the students and my colleagues at Boise State. The students are eager to think about how to focus on students’ ideas in science learning spaces. My colleagues are there to support me and work through ideas with me that pertain to my research and teaching.
When not working, where are you and what are you doing?
When I am not working I am with my family on the foothills.
