In return, we ask that you take this opportunity seriously and commit to being an active and engaged member of our community. As a new member of TRIO Teacher Prep, we ask that you commit to the following expectations:

• I will obtain my bachelor’s degree within a six-year period of my enrollment into TRIO Teacher Prep. 
• I will participate in the Fall Welcome and Spring Kick-Off events during my first academic year in the program. 
• I will meet with my Educational Specialist on a monthly basis during my first academic year in TRIO and will continue to check-in at least once per semester until I graduate. 
• I will notify my Educational Specialist of any changes regarding my academic plans.
• I will complete my Financial Literacy program by the end of my first academic year in TRIO. 
• To fulfill the TRIO Mentorship Program requirements, I will:
  • • Participate in mentorship opportunities such as teacher/student panels, Teacher Prep Podcast series, and/or TRIO social events.
    • Complete my Professional Development Portfolio prior to graduating. Students will construct an online professional portfolio to highlight their skills and strengths and develop a vision statement for their role as future educators.

• • • Attend one professional development opportunity prior to graduating.

• To ensure my academic success as a student, TRIO Teacher Prep staff may also discuss academic circumstances with other professionals at the university. I understand that my personal information and circumstances are confidential, with the following limitations required by law:
  • • Where there is reasonable suspicion of abuse or neglect to children or the elderly.
    • Where there is a concern about danger to yourself or others.
    • Where TRIO Teacher Prep is ordered by a court of law to disclose information.
