TRIO Teacher Prep Program Overview
TRIO Teacher Prep supports 125 students who are first-generation, limited income and/or students with disabilities to pursue and attain an undergraduate degree in education.

TRIO Teacher Prep Enrollment Agreement
TRIO pledges to provide all services for free. We believe these opportunities and services will help you develop a skill set that supports your success as an undergraduate and future professional.
In return, we ask that you take this opportunity seriously and commit to being an active and engaged member of our community. As a new member of TRIO Teacher Prep, we ask that you commit to the following expectations:
- I will obtain my bachelor’s degree within a six-year period of my enrollment into TRIO Teacher Prep.
- I will participate in the Fall Welcome and Spring Kick-Off events during my first academic year in the program.
- I will meet with my Educational Specialist on a monthly basis during my first academic year in TRIO and will continue to check-in at least once per semester until I graduate.
- I will notify my Educational Specialist of any changes regarding my academic plans.
- I will complete my Financial Literacy program by the end of my first academic year in TRIO.
- To fulfill the TRIO Mentorship Program requirements, I will:

- Participate in mentorship opportunities such as teacher/student panels, Teacher Prep Podcast series, and/or TRIO social events.
- Complete my Professional Development Portfolio prior to graduating. Students will construct an online professional portfolio to highlight their skills and strengths and develop a vision statement for their role as future educators.

- Attend one professional development opportunity prior to graduating.

- To ensure my academic success as a student, TRIO Teacher Prep staff may also discuss academic circumstances with other professionals at the university. I understand that my personal information and circumstances are confidential, with the following limitations required by law:

- Where there is reasonable suspicion of abuse or neglect to children or the elderly.
- Where there is a concern about danger to yourself or others.
- Where TRIO Teacher Prep is ordered by a court of law to disclose information.
