TRIO Teacher Prep Rafting Trip

Kickoff the Fall 2024 semester with a rafting trip on the Payette River! The Boise State Outdoor Program will be taking TRIO Teacher Prep students and staff on a rafting adventure down the Main Section of the Payette River, no prior rafting experience is necessary. Food and transportation will be provided.

Items to bring: 

• Dress in a bathing suit or clothing that can get wet. Synthetic shirts can help keep you cool and protected from the sun. Shorts with a drawstring that can get wet are great bottoms. Wetsuits can be provided if needed. We recommend avoiding cotton if possible.
• Water shoes/sandals (must have heel strap). Chacos, tevas, or old tennis shoes work great.
• Food – we’ll provide lunch, but if you tend to get hungry, snacks are a great idea!
• Personal water bottle – we will have water to top off your water bottle.
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses
• Emergent medications as needed (e.g. inhaler, epi-pen)

Day of Agenda: 

We will be meeting at the Outdoor Rental Center (Google maps link here) at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 31st and return around 5:00 pm. You can check the weather by searching for Banks, Idaho Weather (or click here). We will provide transportation, safety gear, and a meal.
