Each year on the last Saturday of February, students across the country celebrate National TRIO Day. TRIO Day is a national day of service where TRIO students give back to their local communities.
This year the TRIO Rising Scholars and TRIO Teacher Prep students at Boise State decided to use the entire month of February as a food drive to collect food and personal hygiene items for the Food Pantry on campus. The event was such a great success that at the end of the month, Boise State TRIO students were able to deliver 354.8 lbs of food and personal care items to the Food Pantry. These items went to help students in need on campus. Way to go TRIO!
