TRIO STEM Scholar, Alejandra Almaraz, is keeping busy this summer and fall with multiple internship and research opportunities. This summer, Alejandra will participate in the NASA Idaho Space Grant Internship and in the fall she will continue her research with the Higher Education Research Council Fellowship.
Alejandra’s research will involve using atomic force microscopes in Boise State’s Surface Science Laboratory to prove the mechanical and electrical properties of materials at the nanoscale.
Alejandra is a Material Sciences and Engineering major who earned Dean’s List with High Honors this past spring. She was also recently accepted into the McNair Scholars Program starting this fall.
